Yamaha to Showcases Next-Generation Robotics Technology

Under the theme “μ to km – Robotics Transportation,” Yamaha will demonstrate how its latest robotics, mobility and automation systems work together to create smarter, more efficient production environments. The lineup spans everything from micron-accurate conveyor technology to autonomous vehicles capable of travelling across large factory sites.

Key Technologies on Display

Linear Conveyor Module (LCMR200)
Yamaha will showcase the fully updated LCMR200 system, including:

• A new oval-type linear track
• A high-payload version for heavier workpieces
• A live demo paired with a surface-mounter
• A cost-saving “slider return” system using the Free Module
  
  

Single-Axis Robots
|A broad selection of Yamaha’s latest single-axis robots will be shown in motion, including:

• Seven low-profile space-saving models
• High-precision variants
• Long-stroke units capable of up to 4,000 mm of travel
  
  

SCARA Robots
Yamaha will present real-world use cases and several demos, including:

• The YK1200XG — able to move payloads up to 50 kg
• A feeder-plus-2D-picking demo
• New AI-driven technologies under development
  
  

New 7-Axis Collaborative Robot
The newly developed Yamaha 7-axis Cobot will make its exhibition debut.
Designed for smooth, fluid movement in tight workspaces, it can:

• Reach around obstacles
• Mount to AGVs and AMRs
• Perform picking tasks using a 3D camera and AI-based object recognition
  
  

Autonomous Factory Transport
Yamaha will also demonstrate a combined system using:

• A Yamaha AGV
• The FG-01 autonomous outdoor-capable transport vehicle

Derived from Yamaha’s golf-car technology, the FG-01 can operate on wet, uneven or sloped surfaces.
It is also used in the eve auto service — a joint venture with TIER IV — to support automated logistics and relieve labour shortages in large factory environments.

Yamaha’s iREX 2025 exhibit highlights the company’s expanding capability in robotics, automation and smart-factory transport — areas central to its long-term vision of enabling people and industries to work smarter through advanced technology.
